ABOUT ME:
Hi! I’m a born and raised Wyoming native. I just can’t seem to escape. The beautiful mountains and nature are a huge inspiration to me and my writing. I grew up on a 10-acre farm with tons of animals to help my imagination grow. I like to call myself a professional generalist but that really means that I’m a librarian. I’m constantly surrounded by books, both physically and via media. Some of my favorite authors are Neil Gaiman, Margaret Atwood and N.K. Jemisin. I also enjoy graphic novels, Saga, Elfquest and Pretty Deadly.
ABOUT THE RIVEN:
I was inspired to write The Riven one day walking to work after I had seen Stardust. An image of a young woman ranger popped into my head. She was strong, confident and beautiful but darkly damaged deep inside. I imagined her walking through a fantastical flea market and suddenly being asked by a young man to help him with some urgent mission. I was intrigued by her and wanted to know more why she had so many walls built up inside. I’ve truly enjoyed writing this story and can’t wait to work on it some more. There will be a sequel. I hope you enjoy it as well.
