Hello, reader, first I want to extend a personal thank you for viewing my page. I’ve always been fascinated with stories and after reading The Name of the Wind, I loved the idea of a story within a story. This is where the concept of this story came from. However, I wanted it to be a sense of personal discovery. You see, I spent a large portion of my life trying to discover who I really was. Therefore I wanted present this idea and story to my characters. That is how The Rising Storm was born.

However, personally, I like to think of this book, its story, and the characters as those like seen in The Wheel of Time or The Lord of the Rings. I’ve always loved fantasy and these stories captured my heart from the very beginning all the way to the end. It was at that point I decided, I wanted to write a story that people would remember. However, I wanted to change it, mold certain aspects in new directions and make something more unique, but at the center remain a sense of a grand adventure.

This leads me to a fact that is hard for me to face. As an introvert, I’ve always hated asking for help, instead preferring to try and help others where I could. My arrogance showed me that doing this alone won’t work. This is why I need to ask you for help. This world is just too big and there are too many people, for me to get the word out to everyone who might be interested in my project. So if you know anyone who might be interested it would be great if you could spread the word to them. Even if you don’t but you want to beta read or help edit chapters, that would be great too!

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you have a fantastic day!
