So, this is the loftiest project I’ve ever conceived. Initially, it began with the desire to tell an action-packed, deeply characterized saga set at the end of the universe. What was borne after years of digging deeper into the universe of this story, was something that still feels very much familiar yet daunting. I like to compare it to A Song of Ice and Fire, but set in space. Proof of this comparison can be found in my exhaustive notes concerning family lineage and the necessary sprawl of characters whom I want to play a pivotal role in this telling.

Before I go on any further: Hi, I’m Cameron Busby. I haven’t published anything of note thus far in my career, but I’m still a very active writer. I studied literature at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas and I hope to be pursuing my MFA in creative writing later this year. I’ve written poetry, some of which can be found here: www.cameronrussellbusby.tumblr.com.

I’ve been working on a novel for the past five years (one not set in space, but still dealing with cosmic mysteries) and I hope to be putting the finishing touches on that piece by the end of the year.

Attached above you will find a broad outline of the book series and some background information on the lore of the universe. I’ve included some choice tidbits that will hopefully excite some readers into following this project, but let me be clear: this story is far from finished. I will update this page with actual material soon to give a better idea of how I envision the saga to unfold, but my goal is to discover if there is a great interest in this story, even from an outline perspective. Ideally, I would focus on the current era (the one set at the end of the universe) of this story, but there are exciting elements of the history that pull me in that direction as well. While the historic material deals less with space, it is still very important to what follows. I’ve also discussed crafting this story into a graphic novel with a very talented friend of mine; will update with this information if possible.

As far as feedback, I would love to hear and answer any questions people have regarding the story. Thank you!
