Honoria Kincaid first began to convey her adventures to me almost four years ago now. It began with her desire to record her extraordinary life via the modern format of the online journal, beginning with a full account of how she found herself swept from her own Victorian life and into the bustling 21st century.
It soon became clear to me that the format was too restrictive and that a more traditional book format would be a better medium for the many escapades that punctuate Miss Kincaid’s life, both in the now and in the past.
Much has been reported of Miss Kincaid’s trials and tribulations, and some even accurate, but none of the articles come close to capturing the true essence of Miss Kincaid.
Miss Kincaid has honoured me by choosing that I should be the one to ensure that her chronicle be made public and ensure her legacy is not forgotten. I have published her own words verbatim, not wishing to take any liberties with the trust she placed in me by editorialising.
