Bradley Ellison and Missy Holiday retreat from the world on a desolate plantation in rural Tennessee. For Brad it is work - he must find a compelling story before the magazine he writes for decides his services are no longer required. For Missy it is recuperation. Four years at "the club" have left her drained.

When Brad finds curious symbols and unrequested bouquets of daffodils around the house and Missy witnesses a bizarre killing in the nearby town of Three Summers, both must find a way to deal with the possibility of the supernatural in their new home.

Now, with the presence of the slow rivers, silent hills and unorthodox neighbors stifling the atmosphere, they must confront the ghosts, both past and present, that haunt the house, and try to avert the bloody end that inevitably comes to all its inhabitants.
