The gods are blinded, and their hands are bound. Ill-righteous challengers and old enemies step up to take The nine worlds of Mirigas from them and enact their own will. Silent wars are fought and great champions fight duals of legend while armies clash below them.

Taking advantage of these distractions, Great beasts have come down from their lairs to try and take of piece of Mirigas for themselves; either by force or by cunning.

Standing in their way is the Adericta, a legendary guild of slayers who take it upon themselves to defend the mortal lands from the machinations of these powerful predators. Leading them is a man by the name of Jorseph Mawlock, a living military legend, who has put out a call for new members, seeking people of all races to join him in this duty.

Lanfell Nanseas; a young man fresh from war; Ernal Kominar, a man disgraced and exiled from his home; Fioa of Black Hammer, A Vaccacvi warrior who seeks a purpose for herself; and Thyrana Stormholder, an impeccable tracker with a mission from her father; all answer this call for reasons of their own.

All the while, deep in the mountains, south of the great city-state of Agnipul, One of the great beasts seeks to bring about his own terrible reign over the greatest trade city on the Midling sea. But with a deadly and cunning mind, he schemes, and lays a trap like no other.

About The Guild

Inspired by Greek legends, The Witcher books, and other action fantasy. The Beast of Agnipul is the first book in an semi-episodic series of tales revolving around members of the Adericta Guild of Slayers. So no farmer-boy-becomes-awesome-and-saves-the-day-because-prophecy plot here. It’s about heroes who are already heroes and four random people who want to have that title as well.

But the definition of a hero is skewed based on perspective, and the guild’s newest recruits are going to find out the hard way that being a hero means more than having a sense of right, and killing the villain of a story.

To top it all off the story will be set in a massive fantasy world that has taken me 5 years to build. Gone are most of the Tolkien cliches, and gone are the ideas of prophecy and fate. The world and the story have been my pride and joy for years, and I would love to share it with anyone who will listen.

About me

My name is Seth Blackwood(at least that’s my pen name) And I have an ambitious dream to one day be able to say that I wrote and completed an epic fantasy series. It took me a few years to get off my rear and actually begin writing the damn thing. And here stands the first entry; Beast of Agnipul.
