The anticipation of the ultimate mission keeps you reading - flipping the pages, smiling, laughing, and dropping your jaw… It’s a healthy size book but a quick, fast-paced, goofy, genuine read. You will find no other story like this with all the comedy, history, the magical actions scenes come out of nowhere and the romance. Oh, the romance – the mouth piece on these dudes, have me wanting to switch my game up…

Briellyn described this book perfectly when she stated “Constantine meets Harry Potter” but I would further add – with a splash of romance. In fact, while attraction is defiantly a factor, I would never call this a romance novel, at least in the traditional sense. I would have a hard time pinpointing any particular genre in fact. But that is a good thing, I think, because it leaves it open to all readers, men and women alike.

There are a couple of constructive criticisms I have regarding this book. One, like many self-published book, it need a good editor, and two, sometimes there are just too many different sci-fi scenarios going on; I.e. Demon or machine, Terminator or supernatural. I am not saying there cannot be a healthy balance, but the machine women seemed a little out of place; like she jumped into our story from another futuristic end of the world movie.

Also, this book was a little hard to get into at first; it had a very slow beginning. But looking back, it was like the beginning of a roller coaster, moving up the track very slowly, just to drop you off at the peak for a hell of a ride. It was worth it! Once the action hit, it never stopped coming. I couldn’t put the book down. The narrative is jumpy at times, but the story itself makes up for any and all criticisms. So many questions need to be answered; so many mysteries and puzzles unravel. Once one question is answered, two more take its place. I need to know what happens.

  I am literally on the edge of my SEAT and PAGE every time I read this!I feel as if I am going on an adventure and can connect with each and every character. The author Terrene A. Davenport, although a first time author is, in my opinion, is on the same level as the Best Sellers. Mrs. Davenport does an amazing job navigating through every turn and twist Brielle (my favorite character in the book) experiences. In fact, she describes every detail so precisely and delicately, she makes it impossible not to feel a connection with the characters and storyline. My three favorite characters are: Brielle, Justin and Eric. Poor Justin is in over his head! That poor guy literally doesn't know what hit him! He tries to rationalize everything but can't fathom what to expect next! Now, let's not forget about Eric Windsor! He has such a presence! It is hard to describe, but he is indeed intriguing and mysterious all by himself but then you add his and Brielle's chemistry, amazing! Let's just say this book is very luring and exciting indeed!

Here's a first time offering that doesn't read like a novice work and is thoroughly entertaining! I enjoyed the book so much, I am reading it a second time! If you like suspense, mystery, plausible paranormal theory, and yes; romance; you will certainly like this book!

I became curious to visit this author's website,[...] and discovered she has several avenues for the reader to become more involved with the series. Think of a Blu-ray, but in print! I'm excited to see what she comes up with next!

She mixes her mystery with exciting action and profound observations, and even manages to sprinkle a little eroticism between the pages as well! I've successfully avoided the category of paranormal romance until now, after all I am an adult male! Vampire tropes (Twilight) and Magical delinquents (Harry Potter) and Horribly written BDSM (You know who you are) are just not to my tastes. A well written tome such as this is pure entertainment, however!

  T.A. Davenport has created a wonderful and exciting world in her novel The Great Balance. This is a book about good and evil with just the right amount of romance.

The characters in the book are very well developed. My personal favorite is Briellyn. She is the heroine of the novel, and she seems so real! She is a strong and confident business woman who is also so kind and good. I would love to have her as my boss! Another character I love is Eric. He is just all sorts of amazing. He is the perfect guy.

Ms. Davenport's writing is very vivid and easy to follow. The pace of her work is not too fast nor too slow. It is just right and makes you want to just keep on reading!

Also, the plot in this novel is so fresh and new! I loved the twist on the creation story from the Bible. I have yet to read anything that took a spin on Adam and Eve before, and it was really interesting!

All in all, T.A. Davenport has a special gift, and I am sure there will be more greatness to come!
