In 2011 I published the world’s first live-tweeted mystery novel, Executive Severance. Not content to let sleeping dogs lie, I quickly began working on Book Two of the Twitstery Trilogy, The Golden Parachute, a live-tweeted sequel, to address questions left unanswered in Book One:
1. Why was murder victim Willum Granger replacing parts of his body with enhanced clone parts?
2. Where are Granger’s ex-spouse Rachel Lechar’s bees?
3. What really happened between Detective Arkaby and Regna Granger in the City Morgue freezer?
4. Do readers have to buy a copy of the first book to appreciate the sequel and if so, does it make a great summer reading selection?
The Golden Parachute finds Detective Arkaby confronted by what appears to be the ghost of Book One’s murder victim, Willum Granger. Goaded by Granger’s doppelganger (or doppelGranger) to delve deeper into the causes of his murder, a reluctant Arkaby discovers a world-wide plot to change the world paradigm that seems to originate from a Caribbean medical school. In the end, his quest will lead him to question the very nature of reality and whether the ultimate solution to the mystery isn’t several levels above his pay grade.
