Hello out there! It's been a while since I've posted an update. I am still working hard to finish my story. I've been trying to work on promoting my book some more. So I'm looking into designing a cover, and maybe making a video to explain some more about this fabulous book. I will be trying to post another excerpt in the next day or so (hopefully) and hope you all will enjoy it. I'm just polishing it up right now and will explain more when I post it. Suffice it to say, it's a funny one.
As for the story as a whole, I'm happy to say that I finally figured out some stuff that was bugging me with the ending and how to get there. I had an epiphany one morning and thankfully, keep a notebook next to my bed. I got it on paper and now I just have to expand it until it's more than just some bullet points and scattered pieces of dialogue.
Again, thank you all for your support. I am not so sure I'm going to meet my goal with a little less than 2 months to go, but I'm not going to give up. Even if this doesn't work, I've got some other plans. Until then, I'll keep writing.
Wow. I really think this story has potential and I look forward to seeing it come to life. Lik the genies on the CD, please help release this story into the world!
Hello again! I've finally found the time to upload another excerpt. This is going to either be a prologue or Chapter 1. I haven't exactly figured out how I'm formatting my chapters. I'm just trying to write all of the story, and will figure that out later. Take a look, let me know what you think, and I'll keep writing!
Thank you all for your support of The Genie Problem. It's been about a week since I launched this project, and I can't express my gratitude enough for the support I've been receiving. Here's an update on how things are going.
I am still working on finishing the first draft of the book. I would say I am about 3/4 of the way through writing. I'm just trying to get to the climax. I confess, I feel like the synopsis I posted doesn't really do the whole story justice, and trying to figure out how to add more to it without telling the whole story. Summarizing my work has always been the hardest part for me.
One of the things I failed to mention in my summary is that this story has two sides. Mainly, I am also telling the story from Johnny Lightning's perspective. But that's not his real name. *le gasp* Johnny Lightning sounds too cool to be someone's actual name. So be on the lookout for another preview chapter, and maybe you'll find out what his real name is (you totally will figure it out, it's not supposed to be a secret for long).
