What a compelling, heart-rending description of this new family.  Jeff creates dialogue that so clearly puts the reader in the family’s life.  I deeply appreciate understanding the trauma they went through.  Great read, can’t wait for the rest.  

Jeff Seitzer is a compelling author.  The challenges and adventures he and his wife,  Janet  went through were their baby Ethan are amazing.  I highly recommend reading his book.

I really enjoy, and at times am unnerved by, the author’s honesty.  The fact that he reports slipping in and of reality while hearing devastating news about his son’s condition confirms some of my own experiences as a parent.  I also appreciate the lesson about advocating for yourself when faced with a professional who is seemingly insensitive.  I love that the chapter ended with the remarkable resiliency of the smiling little boy.

Mr. Seitzer’s moving account of his infant son’s health issues, along with his honesty about his anger and frustration over what was clearly a very challenging period in his life, is really compelling.  I had tears in my eyes reading about the fears of these first-time parents, as well as the sweet moments when their son began to babble and smile.  I appreciated the author’s vivid descriptions.  I felt for them as a family.

I loved The Fun Master!  The emotional and physical closeness between father and son was palpable.  An ongoing health crisis especially with  a young child will always make us pause and remember what is truly important in life. I look forward to reading the next chapter in this adventure. 

Unexpected and frightening complications threw this new father into a confusing medical maelstrom which he describes with endearing authenticity and an off-beat intellectual humor. Surreal, poignant, compelling. And that's just the first chapter.
