Hey my name is Chad-Solomon Dixon. I am a 27 year old Jamaican university student and I have been into fantasy for as long as I can remember. Some of my favourites books being the Xanth series, The Dresden Files and The Inheritance series . It wasn’t until my late teens, however, that I had enough confidence in myself to put my own ideas down.
The Four is an adventure which takes a young man of humble beginnings on a journey to do great things. He is, however, no singular hero. His first goal is to find the others like him so that when the time they may stand against what is to come. In his travels he journeys to lands thought lost for a century, meets those thought to be myth and does what was thought to be impossible. At the same time he will find answers to questions he didn’t know he had all the while coming to understand himself and those who will stand with him.
The Four was inspired, not only by the aforementioned books, but strangely enough, by anime as well. Once you read the book, you will see that my take on a certain, fairly common, race in fantasy draws heavily on my interest in Japanese culture.
