In the aftermath of the "Zombie Apocalypse", as the media misleadingly called it, Auralia Clark and her father left Darden, OH to escape the memory of her mother’s death.

Now, after her father’s untimely passing, Lia returns to Darden, hoping for some sense of normalcy. Very few of the people she left behind remain to welcome her home, including some too painful to face, and a few she’d rather forget.

Despite many hours of questioning, the sleepy little town, and the rest of the world, don’t know that their own chemical laboratory had been ground zero in the release of the M35.6 virus strain. Hoping to avoid similar outbreaks in the future, they secretly house live carriers of M35.6 in an almost desperate attempt to create a vaccine or, at very least a cure. However, one of the test subjects escapes from the facility after culture 94c fails to return mental capacity, but increases physical capacity to 300% above normal.

The survivors of the first outbreak must contend with a newer, more violent horde of “undead”. Lia, who had been only 8 during the original outbreak, must step up if she hopes to save the loved ones she has left.

Notes

Thank you for checking out my draft!

Normally, I’m not a big zombie fan, but, for this one story idea, I had to make an exception - how would survivors of one "apocalypse" handle a relapse? Let me know what you think!
