Hello! This is an interesting process - I’m aiming to make films for a career, but I’ve always loved books and reading, and definitely want to have at least one book to my name.

This will start off as a novel, which I will then adapt into a screenplay to make as an independent film. I’m excited for this process, and this story. I’m using the vampirism in the book as a stand-in for depression, and on a grander scale, mental illness as a whole, as well as giving some great villains in the Volkov sisters.

I’m pumped to speak with others about this and I can’t wait to finish the book.
