Tired of post-apocalyptic dystopia, the supernatural, and magic? I sure am. But The Devil You Know is so well-written and compellingly told, so human and textured a story, that this excerpt will haunt me for the rest of my life if I don't get to read the entire book. Please read it for yourself and preorder it so Alan Tucker can get it published here on Inkshares. Please.

This book is a fun read and it had me hooked immediately. Aliens, demon possession, and magick, what a delightful read this one is and I highly recommend this one to those who enjoy a good end of the world story that shows the human race isn't out of the frying pan yet.

Is it wrong for me to think that a demon named Pus Drinker is just about the best thing ever?  Combine the morals of, well, a demon with the enforced playlist that makes me think of Iron Man taking over everyone's speakers in the Avengers sure seems the best thing ever to me, that's for sure.  Go Pus Drinker!

This is a touching story of a man dealing with the aftermath of a plague brought by the first aliens to visit the earth. Though the plague is unintentional, the effects are none-the-less ravaging. With most humans dead, Abraham is left wandering the countryside, his only companion a demon who shares is body and mind. This promises to be a heartbreaking story of a man trying to find redemption and meaning in a world that has lost so much shortly after discovering we are not alone in the universe. There are interesting parallels between the aliens inhabiting the earth and the demon inhabiting Abraham's mind. An interesting take on the post-plague story.

Now this is how you start a book! Post-apocalyptic, at least two alien species so far, plus the age-old angel/demon war. Add a demon-possessed protagonist with superpowers that come at a great cost and I'm hooked. Let's get this thing funded!

It's like Aliens vs Predator, but with a more hellish bent.
