Millward has definitely picked a very unique historical backdrop to set this fantasy story. Rome stands on the brink of war, and from what I can see in the first chapter of The Demons of Rome, the empire's salvation will rest entirely on the shoulders of the most unlikely sources of magic: a little beggar boy. I love a good fantasy tale, and I love ancient Roman history, so I'm quite eager to see how all of this develops. Demons of Rome has earned my funding; I'm proud to pitch in.
