I became a writer because of my desire to create and see a world grow beyond the bounds of the earth we know. I have always enjoyed the world creating authors around us, Neil Gaiman, Ray Bradbury, Brandon Sanderson and of course, one of my favorites, Stephen King. I felt inspired after every chapter I read. During my youth I wrote for an audience of one, but as I matured I wanted to share my worlds with those around me. Being a writer is not an easy path, but for me I have always loved the thrill it gives me.

Now for a quick peek into The Cranes of Blackwell.

Bergden Crane is a reluctant survivor of the Great War between the free people of the Coalition and the menace known simply yet ruthlessly as the Regime. Under the rule of Chancellor Kroft, Bergden lives his life with his family in silent agony in the city of Blackwell. He works as a Regime enforcement agent doing what is necessary to keep his wife Alyssa, and their young son James, safe and away from the prying eyes of the Regime.

But after nearly ten years of uneasy peace, the Cranes’ world comes crashing in one fateful morning. Bergden is accused of being a member of a shadowy resistance group called as the Remnants. He escapes with the aid of his longtime friend, but Alyssa and James are not so fortunate. James is sent to be indoctrinated and Alyssa taken into the custody of the Regime.

Separated by miles and the constant fear of losing their families, Bergden and Alyssa will do whatever it takes to be reunited even if that means aligning themselves with forces they once stood starkly against.

Berdgen’s memories follow him as he fights and claws his way back to Alyssa and James. For Alyssa the path to reuniting with her husband is finding her true, inner strength and harnessing it against all odds taking her to a both an enlightening but challenging emotional place
