Humanity’s motto as of yesterday: Don’t.
Humanity’s only hope: Be useful.
Surviving Earth’s destruction was only the beginning. The last humans in existence must now contend with a foster planet that doesn’t care about them, a savior race that thinks their job is done now, and the aliens who destroyed Earth in the first place. Among Zoe’s personal problems are imminent death, the creator of a machine that proclaimed her important enough to live, and finding decent chocolate in space.
If she doesn’t find a way to keep Humanity useful, she and the rest of her race will be wiped out of existence, outlasting Earth by only a couple of months. But what role can Humanity play in a universe that they didn’t know existed?
