But following the devastating Optimite Wars, most of the resource (and with it the power) resides in the hands of Barons. Chief among them is Augustine Cole, a very rich, very dangerous man on a mission: find and control the lost mine of Sedna before someone else does. But first, he needs the Chimera Key.

Tess Weaver could care less about wars and barons. She’s much more interested in drawing in big crowds to her act in one of Xanthe’s back alley bars. That is until the alluring Captain Callisto Vega walks into her life, and everything changes. Tess is almost arrested by Cole’s men, but when Vega rescues her, the truth of Tess’ past, and her future, starts to unravel.
