CHAPTER 1

The month’s are going by really fast. Billy said coming out of the doors to his college. It was December 23rd and Christmas eve is coming up. But don’t know what to do for his girlfriend for 25 years together. Bob was walking with me down the street. Bob was his best friend since middle school. He would do anything for him. Stephanie was walking towards them as Billy hugged her close.

There only two days left till Christmas and I haven’t got you anything yet. It is a tough buying something if you don’t really know what your partner wants. I guess because she as not told me what she wanted. But there’s one thing that she does want is to see her mother just one more time. I just don’t know how to answer to that one. So happens we was going to the store to pick something out for each other.

The store was not that far from the college. “I guess I see you love two bird’s later.” Bob said walking across the street. “See you later Bob.” We got inside the store. We went are separate ways to find each other’s gifts. I got to the jewelry department as I was looking at the rings. The lady behind the counter said “Can I help you look for anything.” I’m looking for a ring for my girlfriend for Christmas. “She would like that?

Are you planning on marrying her.” Well, I do love her but she really want for Christmas is to see her mother again. She died five years ago. Couple of day before her birthday it’s on December 27th. “is your girlfriend named Stephanie?” Why yes, how do you know. “The last time I seen her mother she left this behind. I was waiting for Stephanie to come back to the store to give her this.” The clerk hands Billy a letter that was in a envelope that said Stephanie on the front of it. I’ll give it to her.

 I put the envelope in my pocket. As I was looking at the rings. The clerk pulls this really nice ring out. “She would love this one. So she asked me again are you planning on marrying her? “Yeah, I might ask her on Christmas day. “Stephanie would like that so much.” That looks beautiful. I believe I’ll take that one. After I paid her, I put the ring in my pocket. As I went to look around the store to see if I can find anything else. Then I came across this picture frame that had heart on it.

This will be good for the letter. When I was done shopping I made my way to the front. As I paid for the frame. I waited outside for Stephanie to finish shopping. I took the note out of my pocket and opened it. It read “Dear Daughter, I know I wish I can be with you forever. I’ll be in your heart forever I love you. I will always be with you. I will be there when you get married to Billy. I will do anything to see that happens and I will be there when that day happens.

 You two will get married on my birthday. So don’t be sad. Be happy for me. Because I’m with your grandma and grandpa. See you soon baby I love you.” I folded the note back and put it back in the envelope. As I placed it back in my pocket. Then Stephanie came out with one bag. As they walked back towards the college.
