Highwings (young-adult, high fantasy, multiple point-of-view novel) is currently a completed draft that has gone through a few rounds of self-edits (and by self-edits I mean me editing it, not the book editing itself). By pledging to support you are helping bring this book to life. Synopsis

Many years ago, Earth was struck by what has now come to be known as the First Fall. Meteors showered down on the planet, reshaping its surface and wreaking havoc on the world. Their was damage, yes, but it was the aftermath that truly destroyed everything. Because, with the First Fall came another kind of space rock; the Godstones.

Many wars were fought over these precious stones, their wielders scrambling for power in a resource-scare world.

Now, over a thousand years after the First Fall there is unrest. On the annual conscription day, Kuba is forcibly enlisted into the ranks of the Historians. While on route to his new life his caravan is struck down by a falling Godstone granting Kuba incredible powers that were long thought eradicated. As the King’s army closes in, hoping to retrieve the powers for their own, Kuba narrowly escapes capture with the help of his brother and a mysterious young woman.

With a rebellion brewing to the west, a traitorous heir, and Kuba’s new Godstone, the King will stop at nothing to reinstate order back to his lands.

About the Author

I love telling stories. Actually that’s not entirely accurate, I love thinking about stories (and sometimes writing them down). I think up stories pretty much all the time. As an avid daydreamer this is truly the opportunity to bring my passion to life. And as horribly frightening as it is, sharing it with the world, that is what I aim to do.

Outside of epic battles, fantastic universes, whimsical romances, and heroes trying to save the day, I do live in the real world (occasionally). In this real world, I work in the renewable sector trying to save this world of our own.
