The story of Devin, Tuck, and Carly comes from my idea and impression that the end of life doesn’t necessarily have to be the end of existence. I think Richard Matheson portrayed this in legendary fashion with What Dreams May Come. I wanted to write a story about loss, but also about holding on to what it means to be human. Tuck is a character that is rapidly loosing whatever human qualities he had, Devin is desperately trying to hold onto that even though it’s pointless, And Carly is trying find a reason to keep going after everything she’s known is taken from her. Hopefully you enjoy this first rough chapter. And let me know what you think. Thanks!
