Dorothy Young is brutally attacked and left for dead.

But Dorothy doesn’t stay dead for long.

Now she’s back and she wants revenge.

In this blend of police procedurals and horror, a 29 year old woman who’s had to fight for everything in her life is pushed to her breaking point when what little she has is ripped from her the afternoon she is murdered. Her quest to seek out her killer takes her down a road filled with revenge, self-discovery, love, betrayal, and morally gray areas that bring both hope and chaos to a desperate Pacific Northwestern town corrupted by corporate greed and crooked cops.

Amidst her new life as a discreet member of the walking dead is her boyfriend Michael. Not knowing what he had until she was gone, Dorothy is forced to watch him crumble. Now torn between Michael and her blossoming feelings for the homicide detective assisting in tracking her killer, Dorothy will ultimately come to a decision that will change the lives of everyone around her through a wake of vigilante justice and a sociopath’s desire for more blood.

About the Author:

In my final year of film school I was required to submit my thesis: a 120 page screenplay that was neatly polished and ready for pitching to production studios. When I gave my screenplay to the Board of Reviews it was received with much controversy for it’s gritty subject matter. Although I was approved and graduated with honors and earned my BA of Fine Arts in Screenwriting, the Board of Reviews said my screenplay would make a better book than a movie. I self published it, along with a sequel on Createspace last year where after several months both titles climbed to the #1 Bestseller spot in 3 different genres.

My biggest influence in writing has to be my late grandmother who read to me not only children’s books every night for an hour before bed, but also Agatha Christie, Hardy Boys, Edgar Allen Poe, and Shakespeare. As I grew older my passion for Christie only flourished. Agatha Christie, Stephen King, and Douglass Clegg are still may favorite and I read them every day. My favorite Christie novel so far is "The Man in the Brown Suit" that had mystery, adventure, eccentric characters and downright clever and witty dialogue. My favorite King book is probably "Desperation," because it was the first King book I’d ever picked up by the age I was 12.

I left the film industry when I moved to a small town in Central California where the demand for filmmakers is nearly non-existent. Determined to pursue my creative writing passion, I spend my days writing, plotting, revising, and writing some more.

When I’m not reading or writing, I find inspiration by taking short impromptu weekend trips where I try and taste all the local exotic foods I can find, and see every vista point along the road. I have an incurable passion for history and culture that keeps me continuously searching for another adventure. I believe that the first step to adventure can sometimes start with a simple trip to the grocery store.

I’m also an active participant in many causes around the world such as environmental protection, liberating defectors from North Korea, petitioning for equal rights for everyone, and simply making people smile by posting jokes on Facebook.

Writing is my life, it means everything to me. So if you have any critiques you want to give me, advice on word flow, an idea for a plot point or twist, or just want to leave a comment or ask a question, let me know, I’m an open book.
