A sister story to Star Light, Star Bright, taking place several years later and featuring an entirely different cast.

Part of the broader literary world, Take 3 started off as I, Tricidicon, an ambitious anthology narrative that was eventually condensed into a single story - an informative vignette rather than a comprehensive history. After several years of starts, stops, reworkings and world-map drawing, Take 3 found its footing.

Set in its own sprawling portion of the literary universe, Take 3 follows the Generals, a group of reformed military dogs from a failed war of vanity as they patrol the stars and spaces between them, protecting the worlds they once sought to conquer. When a routine mission goes awry and an old enemy rears its head, the Generals are swept up into a mystery that threatens to swallow them whole - if they can even keep up with it

There’s a lot to unpack with this project, as well as how it works with Star Light, Star Bright and the other anthology works, but for now, enjoy the expositional prologue which acts as a backdoor pilot for an entirely separate book. I’m so clever.
