When the Nazis attempt to starve the Russian city of Leningrad to death, a father and daughter serving in the Red Army must fight their way back to each other, without losing themselves along the way. Sveta is a young woman whose family is shattered by the Red Terror and faces starvation at the hands of the Nazis. Meanwhile her father is sent to the Russian Arctic to recruit a terror unit from a Gulag for the criminally insane. Trapped within a siege that would last for 900 days, Sveta embarks on a journey of hardship and horror that forges her into a fearsome and renowned sniper; walking a fine line between soldier and serial killer. With an Army dog named Volnyi, a captured sidecar motorcycle, and her fabled rifle Mishka, Sveta must join forces with her father and his horde of the damned: avenging her City and giving the Nazis a taste of their own blitzkrieg.
