In a world known as Errikor, the mysterious Axian people are still unknown to the common folk of the Gilded Empire. When Queen Galira makes demands for an expedition to the unexplored Axian Isles, an unwilling teacher, Lelieth Olean, is ordered by the Queen to join the excursion.
There are many high fantasy novels, and many romance novels. But I don’t see many stories which combine the two. Obviously, this combination exists, but I feel there needs to be more. Here’s one amateur writer’s take on the genre and I hope you enjoy this story.
My story is told almost exclusively through the eyes of my main character, Lelieth, a young woman who is ordered to travel across the sea to a mysterious land, uprooting her life, career, and any chance of finding a husband.
What she doesn’t know, is that the Axian people are a proud, powerful, majestic race and she could very well find exactly what she wants among their people.
This story is not all light and happiness. Errikor can be a dark place, with wicked, dark magic resulting in some of the most horrific things imaginable.
