Thanks, Seth!  I just finished writing a chunk of Chapter 2, trying to condense modern astronomy and the history of our Solar System and life on Earth in a page and a half.  It wasn’t easy!  My respect for Edwin Hubble was deepened in the effort, though.

    This is a great concept for a story and I like how you are building your universe. There were some references that were relevant to our current time and place that keep the story grounded in what the reader is used to while exploring something new. The detail about his vision being different on the alien world was unexpected and intriguing. Keep it up!

I’m working on Chapter 2 now.  I’ll upload it once I’m happy-ish with it.  I have a fairly thorough outline, and know how I want the story to end, but there are still some holes to fill and complications to figure out.  If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask them here.  I’ll answer them as soon as I can, if I can.
