Since first coming up with this idea, I’ve shifted gears to a more traditional sci-fi approach, which will focus less on the hard science and more on life (or what passes for it) on earth after the climate disaster.
I started a new account for that project and I’m a lot further in the writing of it: https://www.inkshares.com/books/far-above-the-madding-crowd# (in case you want to check it out).
I like the idea of this book. It seems that if we do not change, in a few decades we will live like the heroes of the book. And I’m talking seriously! There is no doubt that global warming is real and gaining momentum. According to 2019 Global Climate Summary, the combined temperature has increased at an average rate of 0,07 C (0,13 F) per decade since 1880. However, the average rate of increase since 1981 is more than twice as great. I think it’s a huge problem. For example, as climate change continues to worsen, the water level in Venice will continue to rise, and the city will sink before 2100. I have read many interesting articles about environmental issues nowadays from this web link and understand that we are doomed if we do not change our way of life and the level of resource consumption. Now humanity is a cancer of the Earth, and we need to do something about it if we want to live longer here. Encourage you to delve deeper into the issue, as it concerns each of us! Also want to read your ideas about it. Good luck and have fun!
