What is Put Us All Away about?

When I read stories like Bonnie and Clyde or Sadie and Charles, I wonder, what made the girls get to that point? Why didn’t they choose to save themselves?

In this novel I wanted to play around with these questions and see how a modern woman would turn out.

Inspired by true events, Put Us All Away gives a vicious look at how someone can be influenced in the worst way. Can love turn someone into a monster?

About me? Well let’s see. My name is Heather (which means my name fits with one of the best dark comedies ever!).

I am a comic book writer. My work has included Zombies vs Cheerleaders, Age of Darkness: The Dark One, Executive Assistant Iris Annual, and Tales from the Verse: Red. Currently working on novellas for Aspen Comics.

When not writing I can likely be found curled up with a Joe Hill novel or watching Green Inferno for the 375th time. Okay, maybe I haven’t watched it that many times but enough times that my friends question why a vegetarian loves a cannibal movie that much.

Put Us All Away is an idea I’ve been playing with for a while. First I thought it would be a comic but the more I learn about Jane, the more I realize her story can’t be contained to panels. Her story requires a whole novel.

Thank you in advance to everyone that supports this project!
