My name is Daniel Dunne and I’m an Irishman living in Canada. Writing has always been of great interest to me and a great outlet for the ideas jumbling around in my skull.
This story began life as a short story inspired by a Tate Modern exhibit that asked people to imagine the world in 2058. Taking inspiration from real world problems, my interest in history and future possibilities, I tried to imagine as realistic and yet dire future as possible. A future where the energy crises has lead to a breakdown in the way people live, where a cycle of history has repeated itself leaving the world in disaster and with very little hope. I was also inspired by real science and the concept of looking to the stars for alternative energy and the very real idea that people have had about the clean energy production of helium 3 and mining the moon for it.
I have a basic outline as to how to move this story forward and conclude it. The sample chapter is supposed to be the opening chapter and the next chapter would start with everything going wrong and people coming to kill Andrew. So from finally getting some hope to it being dashed again. The it becomes a story of a man on the run trying to figure out how to both stay alive and get the information he has into the right hands to make a difference.
Any feedback, suggestions, ideas would be much appreciated
