Though there is room for argument, while writing is hard, writing comedy is more difficult. As difficult as writing comedy is, writing stand-up comedy is next to impossible. However, the authors manage to reveal a tragic comedian, who is funny in his own right, but now has the underlying character flaw which causes him to less than agreeable methods for furthering his life, or at least escape his current rut. By having a protagonist who is both despicable and likeable, the internal and external conflicts are sure to make a great read.
