The idea for Power Player is kind of a mishmosh of a lot of things I loved as a child and still love today. I liked the idea of gamers becoming heroes themselves, not just playing a character but becoming one. Things are already starting to tip in that favor with competitive gaming as it grows now. What if the characters we loved to see and play as in our games were real people, drenched in stories in and out of gaming? Then the idea of NPC AI came in. We all gripe about it as gamers. This AI is dumb. It makes us gravitate to multiplayer, where the real challenge was, playing another human. So what would the NPCs have to say about that. What would happen if we got our wish? I have a feeling NPCs wouldn’t be too happy to learn that their sole purpose for existence is to be killed by us, if they could comprehend games to that level.
Any and all input is welcome on this. Its still kind of a raw idea that I haven’t totally fleshed out completely. I feel like this could expand into an epic series, or could be open and close with one story. It has a lot of potential. Let me know what you think!
