With over 60 words in the queue, I am compiling a list of my favorite wordiez into a tiny dictionary.
Background: Writing in rhymes (and denial) got me through the often unimaginative reading and writing of law school. Also, as a child of the brb, TTYL, and “whatev” generation, many of the words I use in the unprofessional sphere are abbrevs (and in some case extended versions, i.e. brunchiez!). This inspired me to write definitions and example sentences of my favorite words.
What will this book look like? I envision a dictionary that can fit in your pocket. It will have a solid black cover, gold embossed font, and a tiny magnifying glass to accompany each entry. On the inside, each page will have one entry and a simple black and white etched picture. Although more encyclopaedic with the pictures, I think it will add a nice touch.
If you have word suggestions that you would like to include, feel free to email me at: jessica.almendarez@gmail.com. Thank you, and I hope you enjoy it!
