Pigtown: Decadence was born from a simple question: What happens when a murder takes place at the exact moment peace was finally within reach?
Set in a decaying city shared by two evolved species, the story follows an aging investigator as he uncovers a ritual killing that threatens to unravel fragile political balance, buried history, and collective memory. It’s not hard sci-fi. It’s not a typical dystopia. It’s about power, belief, and what we erase to survive.
If I had to describe it, I’d say it’s somewhere between True Detective and District 9. A detective story soaked in atmosphere, with a world built on fracture, ritual, and silence.
This is the first book in a larger saga. Each volume focuses on a different perspective of the same collapsing system. The stories are intimate, but what’s at stake is always structural. I’m writing this slowly and deliberately. Feedback from readers—on tone, clarity, pacing, or what lingers after reading—will help refine the draft with greater precision. If you’re drawn to stories that don’t give easy answers, but leave you unsettled and thinking, your input is truly welcome.
