Completely new to the writing game, which probably explains why this is an incredibly basic rough first draft. As I progress in the writing process, I’ll be adding details to events when I need to, taking others out that are irrelevant, adding some I forgot and overall making the chapters longer. The idea for "Pawn in the Game" came to me one day when I was with my best friend and we were hypothesizing what would happen if you were transported to a brand new world and had to live life there, while trying to find answers to what happened and find a way back home. Then, suddenly, you find out exactly who brought you there and why, but you can’t leave until you complete some tasks, as if you’re a character in a game and they’re the players. However, they promise if you complete these tasks, you are guaranteed a way home. If not, you’re stuck in the world you’re in with no recollection of your past life on Earth. What would you do at that point? Would you play their game, or would you play by your own rules and find your way home by yourself?
If you have any comments/feedback/critiques/advice, please do not hesitate to let me know! I read every message sent to me, take everything into consideration, and will respond whenever I’m available to. I’m looking for ways to make my writing better and can probably use a fresh set of eyes to look over my work and catch things I missed the first time though.
