This story is a throwback to the action pulps of the 70s and 80s like The Executioner and Able Team. But in revisiting those recently, I found it dismaying what short shrift is given to all the female characters.  So I wanted to remedy that.  The synopsis may suggest the husband is the focus, but trust me when I say the wife is the protagonist.
