Ring around the Rosie, pocket full of posies, ashes, ashes, we all fall down . . . And the meek shall inherit the earth.

Once upon a time . . . the world ended. But there were those left behind. Strangers all, but they’ll need to depend on each other because when the world fell, something rose up. The children. The meek have inherited the earth.

No More Fairy Tales is a twist on the zombie apocalypse. Think Cooties (the new film by Lionsgate starring Elijah Wood) and Day of the Dead, with a lot of twists and turns.

Inspired by all incarnations of zombie lore but taking it back to its roots. It’s the end of the world as we know it and the beginning of something new. Focusing on a group of strangers pit together and sometimes against each other in a fight for survival.

The idea came to me as I stood in line at a supermarket. A strange question surfaced in my mind. What if everyone here except a select few suddenly fell to the ground dead. How did it happen? Why? Who lives? What’s next? I took in the cast of characters around me and some of them served as those you’ll meet in the pages of No More Fairy Tales. Some didn’t.
I began writing soon thereafter but I’ve stuttered and stopped wondering if it’s good enough. If it’s something people want to read. I’ve gotten good feedback and hope to finish it soon with the support and inspiration from people like you.

This is the first book in what may become a trilogy but stands alone.

So, who am I? I’m Brent McGuffin. A writer with more ideas than time. With a girlfriend and three children (no, none of them are the basis for the children found in this tale ;)) time is a precious comodity.

Wanna help?

Preorders are awesome. Sharing and spreading the word anyway you can is also awesome. I’ve put up the first chapter, kind of long but worth it, and I’ll put up more chapters as we move along.

Thank you so much for your interest and support and I’ll see you all in the comments.
