An incredibly strong and emotive opening chapter that kept me on the edge of my seat. Biggs has a knack of sinking their readers into Asher's feet and leaving them living his moments with him.

There is something quite brave and unique about the structure of the narrative of this piece. I don’t mean simply the subject matter, but also the method with which it is handled. The internal conflict within the characters is shown through action.
