This story is really about the trials that the students who went to this academy had to overcome in order to not just save themselves but to basically save the world. Along the way they sort of fall in love, they experience a lot of the things that any student would face but they also end up having to face the traumatic twist of events when they’re forced to confront not just their friends but also a creature of immeasurable power.

My dear friend and coauthor and I started writing this idea out on Facebook as a role play originally and once we finished the story we decided to turn it into a novel.
