What looks to be an entertaining urban fantasy. I'm interested to see where these characters go.

The werewolf story we all needed, with an awesome cover.

A family drama set in a supernatural Apartheid-esque world - certainly an emotional opening! Readers will find familiar elements in the concept of a werewolf pack, a strong female lead fighting against the odds, and the supernatural blending with the regular world. What also emerges, however, are some themes not always characteristic of the fantasy genre - racism, family drama, overturning a social hierarchy intended to protect. An interesting blend sure to please fans of supernatural urban fantasy.

After reading this opening I am sold. This is great!

A gripping opening packed with emotional weight and thrilling suspense, if the rest of the book is as intriguing as the first, we are in for a wild ride. It has a clear narrative and the bond between characters is extremely strong. My only wish is that there was more to read.

I like that Ellenor and Matthew are best friends and are not a couple. You can feel their friendship throughout the prologue.I can't wait to see what Ellenor made with this opportunity of freedom and how it changes her. And I wonder what new restrictions her rebellion caused for the whole pack.
