After taking a moment to read the proper definition of "paranormal" I think it actually fits pretty well.

"Denoting events or phenomena that are beyond the scope of normal scientific understanding"

Sure this usually refers to psychic abilities or dealing with ghosts or some such, but it's not necessarily limited to that. I suppose I shouldn't assume 'paranormal' to lead directly to what I like to call "The Ghostbusters Effect"

Thank you for the comments Christian and McKenzie.  This is an idea that's evolved in my head for years. The inspiration was that I wanted to create something that would appeal to men and woman. It's rare that my wife and I find a movie we both get equally excited about, and in my mind I wanted to create something that was a blend of romance, action, sci-fi and drama. Something for everyone. Christian you make a good point about the word "paranormal". That might not be the right word as the story doesn't really involve ghosts or supernatural sorts of things. May need to change that to not mis-lead.

I don't usually find myself interested in much dealing the the paranormal, but this seems like it would be a great read. I'd love to see more, get a better feel for this world!

I wonder--would this qualify as a thriller or a romantic thriller? Where is the emphasis? A nice mix between thriller and romance might work. This might turn into another 'tough guy' beats his way through government agents type of book.
