Mercy Rose takes place in an alternate universe where humans have evolved into having superpowers. Kayla and Nolan Taylor are siblings who have had a difficult life. They lived in an orphanage after their father left and their mother died. They are just trying to move on and live a normal life. But this proves difficult for Kayla because she is born without powers which makes her a social outcast. After something terrible happens to her brother she has an opportunity to get the powers she feels entitled to. But what happens when someone who has been beaten and weak their entire life finally becomes stronger than anyone could imagine?
