WHAT IT’S ABOUT
Jake was always a dreamer. He never dreamed more than when he was near Lisa, his best friend and love of his life. Only, he had been friend-zoned since the day they met. Ten years later, Jake finally musters up enough courage to tell her, only it came after she said "I do" to a douchebag with super powers.
Five years later and Jake is still wondering about the what-ifs and going on terrible first date after terrible first date while living in Justice City, home to Red Justice, the protector and night-time guardian that keeps the streets clean.
Then one day, while promoting his new book at the Justice City Comic Con, Jake steps out to retrieve money from an ATM at a bank across the street. Waiting in a line full of Cosplayers, all dressed to perfection mimicking the real Super Heroes they see on TV and in their every day lives, Jake finds himself caught in a bank heist by The Mad Pack, Red Justice’s arch nemeses. Taken hostage and locked in a bank vault with a innocent Cosplayer, who may be more than what she seems, Jake may have finally found what he’s looking for...
...maybe?
BEHIND MASKED
I have been told countless times by friends and family that I should write a book about my misadventures in dating. With a never-ending flood of inspiration, I felt it was time to start putting together an idea...with a twist...
Growing up I was inspired by John Cusack, and movies like Say Anything, Better Off Dead, One Crazy Summer and Grosse Pointe Blank, and I was always intrigued by the kind of dialogue and situational driven dramas like Before Sunrise and Night Owls, that seemed to be very real and true to who we are as humans as we search for companionship while struggling through our own baggage and bullshit.
With all that in mind, I wanted to bring together my other love of comic books, and mash all these up and into something different and new.
Stay tuned!
