About the Book:
This first book in the Alchetorai Legends series follows the path of Kɧylin, a girl who knows little about her past and even less about her future. According to a Seer, she is supposed to reunite the free peoples of Galaduin and overthrow the Church. She is supposed to undo 150 years of bribery, weaseling and corruption that has seen the peoples of Galaduin beaten into submission by the High Eccuret. It seems bleak...and so perhaps, it is, as she is plagued by betrayal and bad luck on her journey. Who can she trust?

About the Series:
Alchetorai has a long history, more than can be covered comprehensively in Kɧylin’s journey through Galaduin and Sotho. Hers is only the first story I will be telling of Galaduin, a land plagued by war, tyranny and a Church that spent years to destroy free-thought and independence. Her journey will eventually take her farther away from Galaduin, farther than many before her have been.

There are other lands in Alchetorai. Other people whose stories will be told. I have a collection of short stories from the Red Rider, an illusive and mysterious character from Kɧylin’s story. I also plan to write a prequel to her story, set centuries before Kɧylin the Second, telling the story of the First of her name.

About the Author:
My name is Danica Power. I am a University graduate with a degree in French Language and Literature. Come Christmas, I will be finished my second degree, Education, and will be teaching!

While teaching is one of my passions, reading and writing are my true loves. I started writing my first novel when I was 12. It was...interesting but lacked any basic plot points. But it sparked an interest in me.

Since then, I have written many other novels; Kingdom Come is my third, the longest and, possibly, my favourite. I also have another fantasy, which may or may not be something I pursue to publication, a Sci-Fi, an Urban Fantasy and a YA urban fantasy.

The base inspiration for Kingdom Come came from Lord of the Rings (who doesn’t love an epic adventure?) and the Ryria Revelations, whose author, Michael J. Sullivan, is one of my idols, alongside Diana Gabaldon and Jennifer Rardin, some of my other favourite authors.

The story itself has been twisting and shaping itself for many years now. Looking back, I’m not entirely sure where the idea came from; Kɧylin came to me and her story needed to be told, along with those of her family, friends and allies, especially my favourite character, Sid.
