Mother’s Gift
Listen to the heart
As it brings the blood
Energy flow, infinite
Nerves that flame
On endless breath
Release constraints
Settle inward
Upon the stone
Listen closely, silent
Water drips
Into your palm
Replenishing emotion
Focus down the spine
Dig the earth deep
Bring her life upward
Fulfill the breath
In long exhale sweet
Flex the soul to relax
Sit in the center
Let air embrace you
Light, buoyant, and free
Replenish the spirit
Ingest the giving life
Quietly sip her bounty
In her bosom
Is repose and peace
Mother’s eternal gift

Even though it seems a reversal of logic, moving the focus inward, allows us to connect with what is outside us.
Soaring Into Everything
From the apex of the crown
Footprints of ages swirl in cosmic prism
Whirlwinds, vortexes, nebulous fountain
Starting from here to forever
All is one, and one is all
Searching in stardust debris
Thoughts like incandescent highways
Soaring into everything and nothing
Quiet reflection, inner journey begins
Reaching forever outward
Through footprints elucidation
Finding the universe alive inside us

Meditation, contemplation, and sitting in the quiet of release, I sometimes imagine the stream and flow of emotion as it moves into, through, and around me. It is a personal and unique experience for everyone who tries it and the feelings are hard to express.
Energy Stream
Digging in, earth keeps holding
My rooted spirit, grounds in deep
Phantom spirals, energy’s purging
Upward, outward, seeking truth
Aligned in current, my essence tingles
Crowning, opening, seeking high
Allowing truth to helix downward
A spiritual waking, one third-eye
Flowing outward, farther still
My mindfulness feels eternity
Infinity flowing, while rooted deep
Alive, awakened to ONE

The between, for me, is a total state of being. Where I am connected wholly to myself in a second of space, but can see, feel, and experience the infinity of the universe that I am a part of.
The Between
On the edge, I stand on a line
Between the land and sea
Each side stretches on unlimited
Both aligned in space
For a second twixt the in and out
I find a solid peace
Where consciousness stretches
Upon the peripheral
And I’m rooted in between
It is a place of being
Wholly cognoscente
Of who and what I am
Firmly whole, caught in a second
On the line between
