The Orb novels all pivot around a weird phenomenon called variously ’The Orb’ or ’The Omnichron’. I first came across the Orb many years ago whilst conducting mental experiments in theoretical physics. It intrigued me and inspired me to begin writing a series of novels with the working title ’The Orb Saga’. Writing these books is enormous fun and I hope the readers are going to find them equally entertaining.

Nevertheless, re-building the cosmos using new physical principles can be a challenge and I didn’t want to bog down the narrative of each story with loads of scientific exposition.

Enter ’Hyper-Physics’

This book acts as a handbook to the universe of the Orb. By the time you finish it you’ll not only better understand what is going on in the Orb books but you’ll also understand the world around us better too.
