Preface

If there’s a truer quote about the subject of this short, humorous memoir out there, I honestly don’t know what it is.

Once again, this is just me using dark humor and sarcasm in a therapeutic capacity. I’m exploring my shortcomings in just about every area of my life via humor and memoir. I’m also sharing my observations of those around me. In this book, I’m sharing my sarcastic take on motherhood. I’m really new to being a mom, and I feel like I’m doing literally everything wrong. I’m sure some other moms out there feel that way, too. Even if you don’t feel that way about yourself, there are plenty of people out there on social media who do.

Some things you should know about this book before you start reading:

  1. If you’re one of those whiny bitches who doesn’t like swear words, we can’t be friends. Stop reading right now.

  2. I live and breathe sarcasm and dark humor. If that’s not your bag, I invite you to pack your shit and move on to someone else’s work.

  3. My writing is what it is. You can either like it or lump it, but I don’t really give a damn either way.

  4. My target audience for this book is very specific: strong, opinionated, sarcastic women who love swear words and genuinely funny stories. I’m looking for and speaking to the women whose spirit animals are in the ranks of Melissa McCarthy, Meghan Trainor, and Amy Schumer.

  5. This is mostly just a therapeutic exercise for me, but I’m hoping it reaches out and touches other strong, gritty, REAL women who aren’t afraid to fuck things up, laugh it off, and keep right on unapologetically being themselves in spite of what the people around them might say or think.

  6. I am deeply prone to self-deprecation in my humor, but I promise this is just me venting and I genuinely love myself.

If any of the above sounds interesting to you, then by all means read on.
