How To Be A Mediocre Mom is the second book in my Field Guide To Failing At Life series, and I cover all my shortcomings as a mother, as well as some of the other moms in my life whom I’ve observed (or been subject to). Basically, we all know there’s no right way to raise a kid anymore, and I continue to impress with my epic failures.
This memoir is full of dark humor, sarcasm, and self-deprecation. It’s kind of like Amy Schumer’s Leather Special, but with lots of anecdotes from a twenty-something first-time mom. Think of it as my Diaper Special.
Note: Some names and identifying details have been changed to protect the privacy of individuals. I have tried to recreate events, locales and conversations from my memories of them. In order to maintain their anonymity in some instances I have changed the names of individuals and places, I may have changed some identifying characteristics and details such as physical properties, occupations and places of residence.
(Really, I just want to be a completely unfettered, brutally honest, painfully funny bitch without actually hurting the feelings of my family and friends.)
I welcome suggestions from readers and supporters regarding my planned chapters, subject matter, etc. I look forward to shaping the draft of this novel with you!
P.S. If anyone knows how I can get the gorgeous graphics I made to go at the beginning of each chapter to show up on this site, I’d be eternally grateful.
