Nearly two decades after the Terrible War wiped out a large chunk of the earth’s population, the need to find another habitable planet has never been greater. The international community has not only found such a planet, they have also been able to build the technology to send the first set of migrants over. After an initial period of settlement, just as the final part of humanity’s grand plan is to be put into motion, an enigma emerges. He goes by the name of Lary and promises a revolution. His identity and motives remain unclear and he poses the single biggest threat to the species since the War.
Told from the point of view of five men and women who embark on this journey to the unknown - Captain Nelson, the ex-army man who will be taking the first batch of migrants to the new planet; Dr. Cynthia Lee, the Director of Science at the International Alliance, an international body created after the Terrible War; Yara, the mystic who wants to bring back religion after it has been banned on Earth; Leon Catskill, owner of a media empire who harbors political ambitions on the New World; and Seeker, a sixteen year old boy from a slum who gets on the ship through a combination of ambition, luck and circumstance - this novel tries to answer the question: If we were able to start with a clean slate, how would we build a new world?
