Not a chapter just an idea.

The Earth is old, used up, dead.  Even with advances in science and more careful consumption of resources we used up the Earth faster than our sciences could come up with solutions.  However there is still hope for humankind.  

We have found another planet around a Sun of the same class as ours.  The closest thing to a second Earth we have found.  After Thousands of years our first probe was able to travel there and send back information and confirm it is a planet of life sustaining capabilities.

Once last project, the final mission of Earth.  To leave.  Cities torn apart for resources, everything of use funneled into the creation of the Ark’s.  Named after one of the primitive tales we believed in when the universe was vast dark and frightening. 

Constructed and designed to be used on the other end to establish the first settlement.  For there size they could not travel as fast as the probes but still the ships would reach the planet in 10,000 years under autopilot, just a blink of an eye for the passengers.

The first ship ’ARK’ is ready and is launched years ahead of schedule.  It will contain fewer people but they where all selected for there skills to help establish a colony before the arrival of the second ship which would contain for more people of the most varied gene pool possible. 

In the years following the Launch of ’ARK’ there is a breakthrough that allows a significant upgrade to ’NOAH’.  the ship will reach New Earth in just 1000 years.  It will be a rough start since much of the raw material needed to start a colony is contained on the first ship but in there excitement they proceed with the upgrades, the last great scientific advancement for the people of Earth.

At this point we shift and follow the Arrival of ’ARK’ but not to a planet ready to colonize but to a 9000 year old civilization.  They find the planet filled with Human like beings of slightly taller stature and beige skin.  

Basically the new world is ruled by a religious elite and they preach that on the day of there arrival messengers of there creators would come from the sky.   This has been thought of as a myth, a joke, just like all the other predictions of one thing or another.  But then they came...
