Recipe -  Chili Chicken

This is an Indo-Chinese preparation, popular among almost all the countries. The preparation is easy, should not take a great deal of time. However, for a better taste, you have to give a considerable amount of time to make it delicious.

So, let’s walk you through the full recipe of Chili Chicken in our own authentic style.

What You Need

  1. Marinating Chicken (300 grams)


  • 2 teaspoon chili sauce, (can vary as the chicken quantity)
  • 2 teaspoon soya sauce
  • ½ teaspoon pepper powder (adjustable)
  • Corn flour 3-4 big tablespoon
  • All-purpose flour can be used to get the restaurant style chicken same 3-4 big tablespoon
  • ½ teaspoon red chili powder if you like hot or spicy
  • Add a considerable small amount of salt.


  1. Seasoning The Chicken


  • 2 teaspoon soya sauce
  • Chili sauce or ketchup can be used 2 tablespoon
  • Half teaspoon chili powder and paper powder optional to make it spicier
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar and sugar  


  • Veggies to Add with Chicken


  • 1 or 2 onion nicely sliced or cubed according to your wish
  • 2 capsicum or cup bell pepper cubed sized
  • Chopped garlic 2 teaspoon
  • Green chili according to taste you prefer
  • Spring onion chopped (optional)
  • Celery leaves 4-5 chopped nicely (optional)
  • 2 tablespoon green spring onion for garnishing

Once you checked all the ingredients, now you all set to go to the preparation of the mouth-watering chili chicken.  


                 Starting the Preparation


  • Marinate the chicken with chili sauce, soya sauce, and pepper powder. Keep it the way for at least 2 hours.
  • Now you need to spread the corn flour and plain flour along with chili powder and salt on the chicken
  • If the mix is dry you can use egg white to make it juicy and coat the chicken nicely
  • At this point, make the sauce serum. Take a bowl and add soya, chili sauce, and chili powder and mix them firmly.  


  • Making Of Chili Chicken


  • Heat the pan; add oil for deep or shallow fry. When the oil is ready, dip the chicken and let it fry and coked from the inside.
  • Keep on checking do not let the chicken burn or over fry. Once cooked drain the extra oil on a kitchen tissue.  


  • Seasoning The Chicken


  • Add a small amount of oil and drop all the veggies and fry the same until the color changed to brown.
  • Pour the sauce serum and let it bubbled nicely, add salt as per the taste even the spices as needed. Now, even you can add the chicken after testing the fry.
  • If you want to make it dry: then add the rest of the chicken and let them fry well. Let it cooked for about 2-4 minutes.
  • For gravy: mix up corn flour and water proportionately and pour it on the chicken also consider adding chili and soya sauce.

Now, your chili chicken is all set to serve. For a better experience, you can serve the dish with fried rice or Hakka noodles.
